Cruel Saints is a new standalone mafia romance by Michelle Heard and boy is it a page turner。 The story focuses on Lucian and Elena。 Elena has a tragic life， being isolated and alone， she is having to endure some horrific trauma at the hands of her father and his right-hand man。 The only saving grace is going to Monarch Academy， or so she thinks， until she is caught in the crosshairs of Lucian， a man who is going to be head of the Mafia one day and will take no prisoners。 This was a wonderfully Cruel Saints is a new standalone mafia romance by Michelle Heard and boy is it a page turner。 The story focuses on Lucian and Elena。 Elena has a tragic life， being isolated and alone， she is having to endure some horrific trauma at the hands of her father and his right-hand man。 The only saving grace is going to Monarch Academy， or so she thinks， until she is caught in the crosshairs of Lucian， a man who is going to be head of the Mafia one day and will take no prisoners。 This was a wonderfully written story as we see both characters fight their attraction for each other。 One wants freedom and the other is developing their power without both realising that they would be stronger together。 I loved the relationship between other characters and how the mafia/bratva members have all become brothers of sorts in a hugely dangerous chess board type game of killed or be killed。Elena was such a strong character。 After everything she has endured， she still has a spark inside her which won’t let her give up and she gives as good as she gets from Lucian， showing him that she isn’t afraid of him…at least physically。 There were moments of pure terror reading about what she had been through， but she definitely comes out stronger on the other side。 Her relationship with Lucian’s aunt was beautiful as was the twist and turns of who the assassin was。This was a great book to read， and I can’t wait to read more from this author。 A real page turner！ARC received for a fair， honest and sometimes long review。 All opinions are my own。 😊More of my reviews can be found on my blog: http://thehotmesslibrary。blogspot。com 。。。more

I only give 5 ★ reviews or lower but am almost willing to change that for this book。 It’s absolutely amazing and probably my favorite mafia book I have read。 I loved Lucian and Elenas story。 It hooked me right from the first chapter and I literally couldn’t put it down。 I read it all in one sitting because I couldn’t stop reading it。 I love how protective he is of her right from the get go。 He protects is little bird and is willing to go to the depths of hell to find and save her。 She did an exc I only give 5 ★ reviews or lower but am almost willing to change that for this book。 It’s absolutely amazing and probably my favorite mafia book I have read。 I loved Lucian and Elenas story。 It hooked me right from the first chapter and I literally couldn’t put it down。 I read it all in one sitting because I couldn’t stop reading it。 I love how protective he is of her right from the get go。 He protects is little bird and is willing to go to the depths of hell to find and save her。 She did an excellent job of showing his compassion and his strength and i loved reading how the characters grew as the chapter progressed。 Also the aunt is awesome。 Please check it out。 。。。more

I can’t get enough of these heroes！！！What an amazing series！！！！ I can’t get enough of these deadly and honourable heroes who will die to protect those they love and respect。 Each of these books are stand-a-lone mafia reads， but the characters recur throughout so I’m telling you now， do yourself a favour and start with Merciless Saints – it will be totally worth it！ Lucian Cotroni was slated to take over his father’s mafia empire as soon as he’d finished at St Monarchs Academy with only one month I can’t get enough of these heroes！！！What an amazing series！！！！ I can’t get enough of these deadly and honourable heroes who will die to protect those they love and respect。 Each of these books are stand-a-lone mafia reads， but the characters recur throughout so I’m telling you now， do yourself a favour and start with Merciless Saints – it will be totally worth it！ Lucian Cotroni was slated to take over his father’s mafia empire as soon as he’d finished at St Monarchs Academy with only one months to go。 When he met Elena， she forced him to confront feelings he’d never felt before。 He was so protective， and couldn’t help desiring and wanting to protect her。 Michelle absolutely appealed to my romantic heart in sharing his protective POV and the warring emotions within him。 I loved his absolute passion and his care for her， yet still being the alpha male at the top of the Mafia food chain， albeit an honourable one， but one who still demanded to just take what he wants。 How is it that Ms Heard can take the deadliest and most powerful of alpha males， and add to them the most loving of hearts？？？ I absolutely adored the relationship that Lucian had with his father， and the conversation he shared with Luca about the feelings of clouded judgement and possessiveness that was so romantic it almost brought me to tears。 That right there showcased the beauty and gift of Ms Heard’s writing talent。 In the midst of her mafia series， she brought some of the most romantic of moments to the fore。Elena was unloved and unwanted， mistreated and abused by the man who should have been honourably protecting her。 I admired her strength and fortitude exactly for the same reason that Lucien did; that while she was scared to death， she still stood strong under his intense stare and approach。 I loved that Ms Heard gave her that fighting spirit that appealed so much to Lucien even as he saw her “like a wounded little bird trying to learn how to fly while she’s surrounded by predators。”I love the first kisses， and this one was an epic and watershed moment for the both of them， then in the true Heard writing style， the moment crashed and Lucian received the phone call that changed everything for the both of them。Ms Heard had me feeling everything from horrified rage， through snot and tears to the most romantic of love for Lucian and Elena， a beautiful couple who had each other’s backs come hell or high water。 This arranged marriage， enemies-to-lovers book was one that I couldn’t put down and kept me up far too late。 I have to say that anything less than 5-Stars for this book would be criminal 🖤✯ 。。。more

I absolutely loved reading this story。 After reading Merciless Saints I was highly anticipating this book and Michelle Heard did not disappoint。 This arranged marriage mafia romance was action packed， fast paced with so much drama， angst， suspense and some pretty steamy scenes。 In this story we are brought back to St。 Monarch’s Academy where Lucian Cotroni has been learning all about the mafia underworld before he rightfully joins his dad by his side。 Elena Lucas is there to escape the captivity I absolutely loved reading this story。 After reading Merciless Saints I was highly anticipating this book and Michelle Heard did not disappoint。 This arranged marriage mafia romance was action packed， fast paced with so much drama， angst， suspense and some pretty steamy scenes。 In this story we are brought back to St。 Monarch’s Academy where Lucian Cotroni has been learning all about the mafia underworld before he rightfully joins his dad by his side。 Elena Lucas is there to escape the captivity she's been living in at the hands of her father。 Knowing that her fate is resigned to marrying her father’s evil and ruthless right-hand man once she leaves， Elena just wants to enjoy the sparce freedom she's afforded at St。 Monarch’s while also learning how to defend herself。 She's adamant that she needs to kill her soon-to-be husband before he kills her。 Sparks ignite when Lucian and Elena meet， but knowing that he is highly ranked in the mafia has Elena thinking he's as big a monster as the rest of them and wouldn't hesitate to kill her。 She is wary of him but the way he acts towards her isn't like his character， and this has her spilling her soul to him。 Lucian has never met anyone like Elena and the more he learns about her the more protective he feels of her。 When Lucian's father is murdered， and he learns that there's another player in the game trying to take the mafia out， his instincts are to keep Elena safe by any means possible。 The question is， will she be on board with what he has planned or will she see it as a betrayal？As I said earlier， I loved this story。 Michelle wrote a great story and I enjoyed watching the relationship between Lucian and Elena blossom。 I loved how loyal Lucian's men were to him and felt for him during his grievance。 I also wanted to strangle Elena's parents for what they put her through。 But in the end， justice was served and Lucian and Elena were able to thrive。 I can't wait to hear more about some other characters in the story such as Alexi， Carson and Demitri。 These highly sought-after assassins are bound to have epic stories。 。。。more

I am really enjoying these dark mafia stories by Michelle。 She has done absolute justice with the plot and character development。 Both Lucian and Elena belong to mafia families。 Lucian is such a perfect hero he is alpha yet so protective。 My heart broke for Elena with what she had to g through in the beginning of the story。 The story is captivating and absolutely brilliant。 Can’t wait to read more books in this series。
